Murdah Bongz, a South African musician, broke his silence on the death of rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, also known as AKA, in an Instagram post on Saturday 18 February.
On 10 February, AKA and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane were shot dead outside the Wish restaurant on Florida Road in Durban.
MURDAH BONGZ SPEAKS OUT ON AKA’S DEATH
On Saturday 18 February, musician Bongani Mohosana, also known as Murdah Bongz, took to Instagram to pay tribute to late rapper AKA. Murdah Bongz broke his silence about AKA’s death on the same day the rapper was laid to rest.
Murdah Bongz is possibly married to DJ Zinhle. DJ Zinhle and AKA have a seven-year-old daughter named Kairo Forbes, and Murdah Bongz has a one-year-old daughter named Asante Mohosana.
DJ Zinhle trended on Twitter as she mourned AKA and Tweeps weighed in on how Murdah Bongz must feel. However, the former Black Motion star poured cold water on the speculation by paying a touching tribute to the rapper.
“Dear Kiernan, I took a little longer than I had to write this, but to be honest I didn’t know what to say. As a fellow musician thank you bro, thank you for inspiring all of us to do better, thank you for always proving your love for music in the quality of music you created,” he wrote.
“Your catalogue will be one of the greatest catalogues of all time. As a man, I learned something very important from you, know your worth, no matter what happens in your life always know your worth,” he continued.
“As a father, you were amazing, you did it all for Kairo and that shows in the love she has inside of her. Your legacy will live on, may you rest well with the many legends we look up to. Till we meet again, Dad Motion,” he added.
